Cloud-Based Fleet Analytics for Secondary System Maintenance Optimization

This paper presents a novel cloud-based fleet analytics approach for optimizing secondary system maintenance and testing in primary distribution substations, using data from 51 substations over 18 months. The analysis of 3,007 fault cases showed that 68% of required secondary testing was already verified during normal network operations, reducing the need for dedicated manual testing to only 32%.
