VJ Series Image Processing Unit Technical Overview

This document describes KEYENCE's VJ Series image processing unit, which overcomes challenges of conventional multi-image capture by combining multiple images with different lighting patterns at ultra-high speeds for inline inspection. It highlights three unique technologies—lighting control, buffer memory in the camera, and a dedicated image transfer protocol—that enable synchronized image capture and seamless integration with existing vision software platforms via GenICam compatibility.
