U1000 Industrial Matrix Drive Water Treatment Retrofit Case Study

This document describes a case study where a Massachusetts water treatment facility upgraded aging 350 HP 18-pulse drives using Yaskawa’s U1000 Industrial Matrix Drive, resulting in improved efficiency, reduced cooling needs, and cost savings. The retrofit solution reused existing cabinets and circuit breakers, provided low harmonics and regenerative capability, and cost approximately half of a new 18-pulse configuration.
