Advant OCS at Port Dundas Distillery Implementation Description
This document describes the implementation of an ABB Advant OCS (Open Control System) at United Distillers' Port Dundas Distillery in Glasgow, replacing an earlier pneumatic system to automate cooking, mashing, and dark grains plant operations. The system uses MOD 300 software, multiple Advant controllers and operator stations, remote I/O blocks, and TCP/IP networking to provide fully automatic control sequences and integration with plantwide management systems.
