Yaskawa America Merger and Name Change Press Release

Motoman Inc. and Yaskawa Electric America, Inc. announced their combination to form Yaskawa America, Inc., effective June 1, 2010, with the Motoman operations becoming the Motoman Robotics Division and Yaskawa Electric America operations becoming the Drives & Motion Division. The name change aims to leverage Yaskawa's global brand recognition and strengthen corporate identity across drives, motion control, and robotics markets.
