ABB Ability MES Implementation at Kotkamills Oy Case Study

This document describes how Kotkamills Oy, a Finnish pulp and paper company, implemented the ABB Ability™ Manufacturing Execution System (MES) to integrate its production control and logistics functions, replacing a former owner's system. The new system, called KOTTI, improved transparency, reduced system costs, and enabled real-time information flow across the order-production-delivery process, resulting in considerable savings and more efficient operations.
