3D Vision-Guided Robotics Algorithm Technical Bulletin
This document details KEYENCE's proprietary 3D search algorithm for vision-guided robotics, which combines surface features (3D tilt data) and contour features (3D edges) to achieve stable and accurate target position detection even when CAD models are unavailable. It also highlights the system's ability to register actual target models from captured images, automatic path planning for collision avoidance, and a newly developed 3D scanning function that calculates optimal solutions from 136 images in 0.5 seconds.
