Load Control for Production/Consumption Balance with Dispersed Generation

This paper investigates how load control can help ensure production/consumption balance in power systems with increasing dispersed generation (DG), focusing on adaptive load consumption algorithms. It presents a classification of controllable loads (thermal, lighting, industrial, etc.) and both static and dynamic load models, then illustrates two adaptive algorithms on study cases involving residential customers and a supermarket.
