Cylinder Head Pack-In Cell System Profile

This document describes a vision-guided robotic cell used to remove cylinder head castings from shipping containers and place them onto conveyors for machining lines. The system, installed in July 2005, handles both left and right cylinder heads and vacuum-formed dunnage, reducing cycle time from 26 to 18 seconds while improving ergonomics and continuous operation.
