LumiTrax Machine Vision System Technical Overview

This document describes KEYENCE's LumiTrax™ system, which uses an ultra high-speed camera and segmented lighting from multiple directions to analyze images and separate shape (surface irregularities) from texture (patterns). This technology cancels surface condition variations, glare, and environmental influences to enable stable inspections of defects like scratches, chips, and seals on challenging surfaces such as metal, film, and printed backgrounds.
