Yaskawa AC Drive Turntable Indexing Application Note

This document describes how Yaskawa’s high-performance AC drive and software package improved positioning accuracy and eliminated troublesome limit switches in a complex automotive welding turntable operation. The system uses quadrature encoder feedback from the motor to precisely advance and position the turntable, replacing mechanical and proximity limit switches with digital programming for faster, more reliable indexing.
